1) With the engine off, can I connect an external charger to the aux battery (with CRS1 terminals connected)
without damage to the CRS1? I plan on using either an a/c charger or a solar charger when docked. 2) Can I connect a charger to the main battery and , in turn, charge the aux battery? 3) Will damage result to the CRS1 or either battery if external charging is attempted with the engine on ( by mistake )?

To answer both questions, yes you can and it should not damage anything unless it is not a smart charger that shuts off automatically. My best advice is to ask your dealer though just to be sure. We can not speak for a specific manufacturer and its better to be safe than sorry.
