There is no DC24MFS, there is only a DP24MFS. The DC24MF is a deep cycle marine battery and the DP24MFS is a dual purpose starting and deep cycle battery. They have different specs and should not be used together. Only use the same model with your battery that you have.
Depending on how old your original battery is, it should not be mixed with a new one of the same model either. The old battery will only allow the new battery to operate at the same level as the old one. So if your original battery is operating at 50% then your new one will operate at the same level. Leaving half the battery useless. This happens because they can not take the same amount of charge and so the new battery will never fully be charged.
