All flooded should be in a well-ventilated area. They release gases. The only batteries that will be suitable for an enclosed area are the AGM versions. If you van is going to have a separate enclosed compartment away from the living area they will be fine. However, if they somehow will be within the vans livable area then an AGM will be the better option. A [Fullriver DC224-6](http://www.batteriesinaflash.com/full...) or a [Trojan T-105 AGM](http://www.batteriesinaflash.com/troj...) are goods options.
